OrangeCD Suite Version 4.20 January 11, 2002 Description ----------- OrangeCD Suite is a suite of applications that is useful to organize, maintain and listen to your music collection. OrangeCD Record Catalog has all the important features demanded by music collectors: * It stores information about any media (CD, DVD, vinyl, VHS, MiniDisc, etc.) * It supports CDDB/FreeDB Internet database used for CD information retrieval. * It allows to enter album data in a simple and convenient way. * Data is organized in conventional, Explorer-like style. * You can browse albums as well as perform full-text search. * Album covers, song lyrics, studio recording info and many other attributes are stored in database. * There is a number of import and export plugins to convert the data to and from other formats. * Full set of CD control features, including programmed play, random play and integrated volume controls is available in OrangeCD Player. What's new ---------- See whatsnew.txt Installation ------------ The latest version of OrangeCD Suite can be downloaded from the following Web page: http://www.firetongue.com/download.html Once you downloaded the distribution archive, copy its content into the temporary directory and run setup program. If any older installation of OrangeCD exists in your system, it is recommended to uninstall it prior to running OrangeCD Suite setup. During the setup, please follow instructions on display. Uninstallation -------------- To remove OrangeCD Suite installation from your system, please use Add/Remove Programs icon in Windows Control Panel (usually it can be reached from Start menu -> Settings). Please refer Windows Help system for details. * You must exit OrangeCD Suite applications before attempting to uninstall the software. Otherwise, some files will remain in your system, or unnecessary reboot will be initiated. * When OrangeCD Suite deinstalls, it restores Windows CD Player as default player. You may be required to reconfigure your existing CD player software. System Requirements ------------------- * Any PC running Microsoft Windows 95/98/2000, Windows ME, Windows NT 4.0 or Windows XP. * 16 MB RAM and 4 MB of free hard disk space. * Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or above. Note for Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows ME or Windows XP users: You already have a recent version of Internet Explorer installed - no action is needed. Note for Windows 95 or Windows NT 4.0 users: You may be required to install the latest version of Internet Explorer from Microsoft web site: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/default.htm * A mouse or other tracking device. * Internet connection is recommended. * High Color display is recommended. Command Line Arguments ---------------------- The following command line arguments are accepted by OrangeCD Record Catalog: /entry: show specific CD information start using the specified database The following command line arguments are accepted by OrangeCD Player: /nologo suppress OrangeCD logo at startup /db: start using the specified database start on specified CD-ROM drive start playing specific track Examples: orangecd.exe /db:c:\mydb.dat /nologo d: dadbapp.exe /entry:334c5e11 Order ----- OrangeCD is distributed as shareware. That means, you can freely download and try it for 30 days. If you find it useful and decide to keep it over this evaluation period, you should register it by paying a registration fee.
